Over 10 years experience navigating U.S. Department of Labor benefits for energy employees across America. Our team at Energy Employee Services is dedicated to assisting eligible energy workers to receive full financial compensation and healthcare benefits they are entitled to under the Federal Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) of 2001
The #1 benefit our clients enjoy is that Energy Employee Services allows family members to become compensated care givers. If your DOL approved conditions create medical necessity for help completing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), then your family member(s) can get compensated for up to 12 hours per day. We work with your physician and the DOL to get you approved for this benefit
Energy Employee Services is an authorized provider under the EEOICPA program and is compensated exclusively by the DOL under the EEOICPA. We will never bill you or your family for any of our services. Please contact us today if you believe you or a family member may be eligible for benefits

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Home health care is tailored to your specific medical needs based on your covered DOL approved medical conditions. The level of care you are entitled to is based upon your medical necessity for home-help as determined by your treating physician
Home healthcare through Energy Employee Services is paid for by the Department of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (managed by Department of Labor’s Workers Compensation Programs)
The EEOICPA medical compensation program is very different from other types of medical insurance in that the coverage allows for a higher level of medical care for covered energy employees. For example, a person who has medical necessity for 24/7 skilled nursing care can receive this level of care indefinitely, provided they continue to have medical necessity
The Department of Energy Employee Occupational Illness Compensation Program covers 100% of the cost of care for EEOICPA approved conditions
Homebound status is not required to qualify for home care benefits under EEOICPA
Services that can be provided by a healthcare professional or family member, based on medical necessity of covered conditions, includes (but not limited to):
Light housekeeping
Meal preparation
Bathing assistance
Companion care
Transportation to/from doctor's appointments
Services of skilled nurses or other assistive health care personnel for the medically necessary care required of approved conditions
Physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, respiratory therapy, and other professional therapeutic services
Health needs assessment
Case Management
Medication management and teaching
Pulmonary exercises and breathing techniques
Wound care
Dietary teaching
Bowel and catheter care
Blood draws
Tube feeding
Other skilled services as ordered by your physician based on covered condition(s)
Education on covered conditions and their progression
Yes, and that is our #1 goal for you. Eligible beneficiaries of the EEOICPA can receive in-home care up to 24-hours/day, 7-days/week, 365-days/year for their covered conditions. We also provide covered care at assisted living facilities so that you are only paying for your assisted living "rent," which lowers your total cost of living at that facility
Energy Employee Services is an authorized provider under the EEOICPA program and is compensated directly by the DOL under EEOICPA. We will never bill you or your family for any of our services
In accordance with the EEOICPA regulations, an Authorized Representative (AR) is permitted to charge for services related to a claim before the Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC). ARs work on a contingency basis, meaning they are only compensated if they are successful in getting a claim approved. If a claim is approved on the first submission (i.e. the claim has never been denied), the fee is two percent (2%) of the compensation received. If a claim has been denied and subsequently overturned and approved, the fee is ten percent (10%) of the compensation received. If an AR assists with an impairment rating, the AR is entitled to a fee of two percent (2%) of any additional compensation received as a result of that process
